Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if I have to cancel my trip?
If you cancel more than 35 days prior to the trip you will receive a full refund. If you cancel 34 days in advance or less then you will only receive your $200 per person deposit back.
What kind of buses will we be riding on?
The motorcoaches we will be using have air-conditioning, bathroom, and tv with DVD/VHS. On longer trips we will put a movie on so you can enjoy yourself. We will make frequent stops so you can get up and walk around.
Is drinking allowed on the trips?
While it is not prohibited, we do want to maintain a family atmosphere at all times. If drinking is your focus, then we would recommend not taking this trip. Drinking is not allowed on the bus.
Is there a minimum or maximum age for the tours?
There is no age requirement. However, we will be on the bus anywhere from 1-6 hours. Even though we will make stops, the travelers will need to be able to stay seated and not disturb the other passengers. Also keep in mind that you will have to be able to walk a reasonable distance.
Approximately how many hours do we spend in each hotel?
The plan is for at least 8 hours, but some situations can arise to prevent that.
Do we need to tip the bus driver or guides?
The tip for the driver is taken care of, but if you feel the driver or guide has done an exceptional job or taken extremely good care of you, then feel free to tip him or her additionally. Tipping is at your discretion, but please don't "pass the hat" as that puts other people on the spot. Please either put it in an envelope or just give it to the driver as you depart.
What is included in the listed price?
Your game tickets, hotel accomodations, the motorcoach, and the costs of sightseeing trips listed in the itinerary (unless otherwise noted). Not included are additional hotel nights that you choose to stay, airfare to and from the cities, and any incidentals that you incur at the hotel. Also not included are meals, unless a restaurant is noted in the tour. However, some hotels that we stay in do serve a complimentary breakfast.
What hotels can we expect to be staying in?
We will be staying in Hilton Family hotels. This includes Hilton Hotels, Doubletree Hotels, Embassy Suites, Hampton Inn, Hampton Inn and Suites, Hilton Garden Inn, and Homewood Suites.
What happens if a game rains out?
If the game is rained out (cancelled due to rain) then we will issue a $25.00 voucher for you to use on a future R&L Baseball trip.
How can I redeem my rain out voucher?
When you book your next trip you will need to send in your original voucher (copies will not be accepted) with your registration and deposit.
What should I bring?
Some suggestions include spending money, rain gear, reading material, comfortable walking shoes, cool weather clothing, overnight necessities, sunglasses, a camera, cards or games, and a pillow. Don't forget your sunscreen!!! There is no faster way to ruin your trip than to spend it sunburned.
